ANEWU brings dental implants and cosmetic dentistry together with facial aesthetics under one coordinated team in Buckhead, Cumming and Dawsonville, Georgia. Whatever brought you in, start with a free consultation.

Where to start

What services does ANEWU offer?

Short answer

ANEWU offers three kinds of care from one practice: dental implants and oral surgery, cosmetic dentistry, and facial aesthetics. Implant and surgical work is performed by Dr. Abtin Shahriari, an oral surgeon specializing in implant dentistry. Facial aesthetics is led by Dr. Arshia Payman, MD. All three run out of the Buckhead, Cumming and Dawsonville offices.

If you have ever wondered whether you need an oral surgeon, a cosmetic dentist or an aesthetic physician, the honest answer is that most people do not know before they arrive, and they do not need to. The free consultation sorts that out. Our guide to what to expect at your first visit walks through the appointment in order.

Worth knowing up front: ANEWU is a surgical and aesthetic practice, so your general dentist keeps the hygiene side while we handle the surgical, restorative and aesthetic side.

Three sides of the practice

Three kinds of care, one coordinated team.

Each area has its own lead clinician and its own set of procedures. They share one building, one set of records and one consultation.

Every ANEWU procedure, grouped by the problem it treats. Which one fits you is decided at the consultation, not from a list.
Service areaWhat it treatsProcedures
Dental implants Missing, loose or failing teeth, from a single gap to a full arch, including jaws that have lost bone. All-On-4, All-On-6, All-On-X, pterygoid implants, full-arch restoration, mini implant-supported dentures, 3D imaging and guided surgery
Cosmetic dentistry Teeth that are present but chipped, worn, stained, crowded or uneven. Porcelain veneers, bonding, crowns, clear aligners, teeth whitening, smile makeover
Facial aesthetics Lines, volume loss, skin texture, facial contour and jaw joint pain, led by Dr. Arshia Payman, MD. Botox, dermal fillers, lip treatments, laser resurfacing, buccal fat removal, TMJ and TMD treatment
Replacing missing teeth

How do I replace missing teeth?

Missing teeth are replaced three ways at ANEWU: a single dental implant for one gap, an implant bridge for several teeth in a row, or a fixed full arch on four or more implants when an entire jaw is gone. A 3D scan taken at your consultation determines which your bone supports.

If you have ever wondered how to replace missing teeth without a denture that comes out at night, the short version is that a fixed option exists at every scale. What changes is the number of implants underneath it, and that number is set by the bone you have rather than by preference.

Bone loss narrows the list without closing it. Bone grafting rebuilds height over a healing period before implants go in, while zygomatic implants skip the graft by anchoring in the cheekbone. For qualifying full arch cases, same-day smiles attach a temporary fixed bridge on the day the implants are placed. Not every jaw qualifies, which is why the scan comes before the plan.

Your first visit

What happens at my first visit to ANEWU?

Your first visit to ANEWU is a free consultation. You describe what brought you in, the clinician examines the area, and an implant case is scanned in 3D so bone height and width are measured rather than estimated. You leave with the options that fit your anatomy, in plain language.

  1. 01

Telling us what brought you in

Most of the appointment is spent listening before any plan is recommended. Bring a list of what bothers you, along with any imaging another office has already taken.

  2. 02

    Examination and 3D imaging

Surgical and implant cases are scanned in three dimensions at this visit. The scan is what turns a general conversation about options into a specific one about your jaw.

  3. 03

    Your options, in plain language

You see what is possible, what is not, and what each route would involve. Where the answer genuinely depends on the exam, you will be told that rather than handed a number.

  4. 04

    Scheduling and payment

If you decide to go ahead, treatment is scheduled and payment is arranged before the procedure. Paperwork can be finished ahead of time with our new patient forms.

Who provides your care

Two specialists, one team, three Georgia offices.

Surgical care and aesthetic care are handled by different clinicians here, which is why a single consultation can cover both.

Cost and financing

How much does treatment at ANEWU cost?

Cost at ANEWU depends on which service you need, how complex your case is, and whether preparatory work such as bone grafting comes first. No two implant plans price the same. ANEWU accepts CareCredit and Proceed Finance, plus Visa, MasterCard and Discover, and arranges a payment plan before treatment begins.

The first consultation is free, so what your case needs is settled before what it costs. That order matters most on a full arch case, because the preparatory work is where the variation lives.

Does dental insurance cover implants or facial aesthetics?

Dental insurance typically does not cover implant treatment, and facial aesthetics is generally considered elective, so it is usually not covered either. Cosmetic dentistry varies by plan. Our team will help you understand what your plan does and does not include before you commit to anything.

Because coverage differs so widely between plans, the number that matters is what you would pay after your benefits are applied, not the list price of a procedure. We work that out with you rather than leaving you to work it out with your insurer.

Can I finance treatment at ANEWU?

Yes. ANEWU offers CareCredit and Proceed Finance for major work done in our offices, with a monthly payment plan set up before the procedure rather than after it. Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted at all three Georgia offices. Full terms sit with our implant financing options.

Yes. The first consultation at ANEWU is free at the Buckhead, Cumming and Dawsonville offices, and for implant and surgical cases the 3D scan is part of it. You are not asked to commit to treatment at that appointment.

Yes. Dr. Abtin Shahriari handles implants and oral surgery, Dr. Arshia Payman, MD handles facial aesthetics, and both work from the same three offices and the same set of records. One consultation can cover both sides if that is what brought you in.

Choose whichever is closest to you. Buckhead, Cumming and Dawsonville run the same services with the same clinicians, and your records follow you between them. Addresses, hours and directions for all three sit on the locations pages.

No. ANEWU is a surgical and aesthetic practice rather than a general dental office. Hygiene appointments and root canals are not performed here, so keep seeing your general dentist for those. Crowns are handled only as part of cosmetic treatment planning.
