How do I refer a patient to ANEWU?
Refer a patient in one of two ways: complete the ANEWU referral form, or call (470) 288-9655 with the patient's details and the reason for referral. The team then contacts your patient directly to book a free consultation at whichever Georgia location is closest to them.
If you have ever wondered whether a case is too complex to send out, the test is whether it needs surgical planning. Implant and full arch cases, oral surgery and facial treatment all come through the same door.
Aesthetic referrals run on that same intake, so facial treatment and surgical treatment share one practice rather than two.

What happens after you send a referral?
After a referral arrives, the surgical team calls your patient to schedule a free consultation, usually at the Georgia location nearest them. The consultation includes a 3D scan used to plan treatment, and the plan and relevant progress updates then go back to your practice as care moves forward.

Aesthetic referrals reach Dr. Payman through the same intake as a surgical referral, so a case that touches both sides is only sent once.
Will my patient come back to my practice?
Routine and restorative care stays with your practice. A referral covers the surgical portion of the case only, and referred patients return to you for hygiene, endodontics and crowns, which are not offered as general dentistry. Cosmetic dentistry is offered alongside surgical treatment rather than as a standalone general dental service.
ANEWU has no general dentistry to protect, so a referred patient is treated for what you sent them for.
Patients arrive better prepared when they know the shape of the visit, so point them at what happens at a first visit.
Results vary from patient to patient, and saying so early keeps a referred patient realistic about what surgery can change.

Two routes usually remain. Bone grafting rebuilds the ridge so standard implants can be placed later, and zygomatic implants anchor in the cheekbone instead, which can avoid grafting entirely. Dr. Abtin Shahriari uses a 3D scan taken at the consultation to determine which route fits the patient's anatomy.
Nothing. The first consultation at ANEWU is free for every patient, including referred patients, and includes the 3D scan used to plan treatment. If the patient proceeds, the practice accepts CareCredit and Proceed Finance along with Visa, MasterCard and Discover, and can arrange a monthly payment plan beforehand.
