All-On-6 Dental Implants in Atlanta, GA

All-On-6 rebuilds a complete arch of teeth on six dental implants instead of four, spreading bite force across more anchor points. If you have ever wondered whether six implants hold better than four, the honest answer is that it depends on your own bone, and a 3D scan is what settles it.

The short answer

What is All-On-6, and how does it work?

All-On-6 replaces a full upper or lower arch of missing teeth with a fixed bridge anchored on six dental implants. Bite force spreads across six anchor points instead of four. At ANEWU, implant position is planned from a 3D scan, and the final bridge is built in the on site lab.

If you have ever wondered how a whole jaw of teeth can rest on six posts, the answer is that implants fuse to bone and behave like roots. Six of them carry one bridge, so there is no implant for every tooth and no plate across the roof of your mouth. It is one of several full arch dental implant approaches rather than a separate category of treatment.

The number in the name is the number of implants, nothing more. Whether six is right for you, or four, comes down to bone volume, bite and which arch is being treated. Not every jaw has the bone volume for six implants.

Replacing missing teeth

How do I replace a full arch of missing teeth?

A full arch is replaced three ways: a removable denture, an implant supported overdenture that snaps onto a small number of implants, or a fixed bridge carried on four, six or more implants that you do not remove. A 3D scan at your ANEWU consultation shows which your bone supports.

If you have ever wondered which of those three you are actually choosing between, it comes down to how much bone is left and how much movement you are willing to live with. A denture rests on gum tissue. An overdenture snaps onto implants and still comes out at night. All-On-6 stays put.

Against All-On-4 implants, the difference is two more anchor points and two more surgical sites. Neither is an upgrade over the other by default, which is exactly why the comparison below is worth reading before you decide anything.

All-On-6 vs. All-On-4

Six implants or four: how the two compare

Neither approach is a better version of the other. They solve the same problem with a different number of anchor points, and your anatomy decides which one fits.

All-On-6

  • Six implants spread bite force across more anchor points
  • Added redundancy if one implant ever needs attention
  • More flexibility in where each implant sits across the arch
  • Suited to cases where your surgeon wants extra stability

All-On-4

  • Four implants, a widely used and well-established approach
  • Typically fewer surgical sites
  • May be recommended when bone or budget favors fewer implants
  • Compare both directly with Dr. Abtin at your consultation

Is this you?

Am I a candidate for All-On-6?

You may be a candidate if you have lost, or are about to lose, all the teeth in one arch and have enough bone across six implant sites. At ANEWU that is confirmed on a 3D scan taken at your free consultation, not from a flat x-ray.

  • You have lost, or are about to lose, all of the teeth in an upper or lower arch
  • You have enough bone across six implant sites, confirmed on a 3D scan
  • You want a fixed result rather than something you take out at night
  • Your surgeon wants bite force spread across more anchor points in your case
  • You are weighing All-On-6 against All-On-4 and want the two compared directly
  • You have worn a full denture and are finished with the movement and the adhesive

If another office said there is not enough bone

Two routes usually remain. Bone grafting rebuilds height and width in the jaw so implants can be placed later, which adds months to the timeline but keeps standard placement on the table.

When the upper back jaw has lost too much height for that, zygomatic implants anchor in the cheekbone above the sinus instead, which can avoid grafting entirely. A first opinion built on a flat x-ray and a second opinion built on a 3D scan often reach different conclusions, because a flat film shows height but not width. Dr. Abtin will confirm which applies to your anatomy.

Why full arch cases stay in house.

Plenty of offices refer a full arch case out. At ANEWU the planning, the surgery and the lab work sit under one roof, with an on site lab rather than an outside laboratory, and that is the part patients notice on the day itself.

It is also what makes same-day fixed teeth possible for qualifying cases, because the temporary bridge does not have to travel anywhere to be made. Same-day teeth are available for qualifying cases, not all of them.

Step by step

What happens during All-On-6 surgery, step by step?

Four stages. Your jaw is scanned in three dimensions at the consultation. Dr. Abtin maps where six implants will sit. The implants are placed in a single outpatient visit, with a fixed temporary bridge attached the same day for qualifying cases. After healing, the final bridge is fitted.

  1. 01

    Consultation and 3D imaging

Your jaw is mapped in three dimensions so your surgeon can see bone volume and where six implants can be well positioned. It happens during your first visit, so there is no separate imaging appointment to book.

  2. 02

    Your treatment plan

Dr. Abtin sets the position, angle and depth for all six implants against your own bone and bite, and against the teeth you will end up with rather than fitting the teeth afterwards.

  3. 03

    Implant placement

The six implants are placed in a single outpatient visit. For qualifying cases a fixed temporary bridge is attached the same day, so you do not leave the office without teeth.

  4. 04

    Healing and your final bridge

The implants integrate with bone over a healing period. Your final fixed bridge is then built in the ANEWU on site lab and fitted, rather than ordered from an outside laboratory.

Cost & financing

How much do All-On-6 implants cost in Atlanta?

All-On-6 cost at ANEWU depends on how many arches are treated, whether bone grafting comes first, and which restoration is used. Dental insurance typically does not cover implant treatment. ANEWU accepts CareCredit and Proceed Finance and can arrange a monthly payment plan before your procedure.

Dental insurance and All-On-6

Implant treatment usually sits outside what a dental policy covers. Where a plan does contribute, it tends to go toward part of the restoration rather than the surgery itself, and you will be told plainly what your own plan is likely to do before you commit to anything.

Cost also moves with the case, not the name. An arch that needs grafting first costs more than one that does not, and treating both arches costs more than treating one.

Financing through CareCredit and Proceed Finance

ANEWU accepts CareCredit and Proceed Finance, and a monthly payment plan can be arranged before your procedure. Visa, MasterCard and Discover are also accepted.

Paperwork, payment and what to bring are all gathered under new patient information, and your consultation will cover the cost of your own treatment plan rather than a range pulled off a website.

Where is this treatment performed?

Implant surgery is performed at all three ANEWU offices in Georgia. Patients north of Atlanta most often use the Cumming or Dawsonville offices, both just off the GA-400 corridor, while the Buckhead office serves patients inside the perimeter. Records move between offices, so follow up can happen at whichever address is closer.

Straightforward answers to the questions we hear most at a consultation.

Ask us directly

Not universally, the better fit depends on your anatomy. All-On-6 spreads bite force across more implants, which some surgeons prefer for added stability, while All-On-4 uses fewer surgical sites. Dr. Abtin will recommend the option built around your own 3D imaging.

Your surgeon may recommend six implants when spreading bite force across more anchor points, or your specific bone structure, favors additional support. It's a case-by-case decision, not a default upgrade.

Yes, in appropriate cases. Many All-On-6 patients are moving from a full denture to a fixed, implant-supported arch. Your consultation will confirm whether your bone supports six implants.

Healing time is driven more by your individual case than by the number of implants. Dr. Abtin will give you a timeline specific to your surgery.

Dental insurance typically doesn't cover implant treatment. We accept CareCredit and Proceed Finance, can arrange monthly payment plans, and our team will help you understand your specific coverage.
